The G70 is a sports sedan developed as part of Hyundai’s high-performance Genesis brand. A standard D-segment vehicle, it was released in 2017 and intended as an entry-level model.

Despite sharing sharing most of its features, including the platform with the KIA Stinger (KIA are also part of the Hyundai group), the G70 was designed from the ground up as a luxury sedan.

Three engines were made available for the G70: a twin-turbocharged 3.3-liter V6, a turbocharged 2.0-liter gasoline turbo, and a 2.2-liter diesel turbo. The twin-turbo V6 was capable of 370 HP. Like the other cars in the Genesis lineup, rear-wheel drive and AWD versions of the G70 were offered.

The G70’s styling was an instant hit, widely praised for its elegant outline. In 2020, however, the car underwent a major redesign, intended to make it more similar to the luxurious G90 and G80. As a result, the G70 looked more polished and even more striking.
