The Opel Calibra was a European coupe based on the mechanics of the first generation Vectra sedan. It was presented in 1989 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. One of the most beautiful cars ever produced, it featured design innovations and its aerodynamic coefficient (the car's ability to overcome air resistance) was worthy of today's cars: just 0.26. Its successor was the Astra Coupé, launched in 1999.
