Equipped with moderately modified 1.6 BSE engine capable of producing 180hp at 7,200 rpm. S1600 class allows only production gearboxes, so teams must use standard MQ200 5-speed manual transmission with adjustable LSD.
So far only 1 car of this generation was built that never raced in S1600 class but instead was reworked to compete in Touring-Light class of 2025.
