The car is designed and built by Acura Motorsports, in collaboration with Oreca, and is based of the Oreca 07 chassis. This car is eligible for use in the Le Mans Daytona hybrid (LMDh) class, LMH and GTP of the IMSA sanctioned WeatherTech Sportscar Championship. It made its racing debut at the 2023 Rolex 24 at Daytona, withs WTR and MSR running under the Acura Motorsports banner.
