While faster and more powerful (and more costly) than its race-bred cousin the GT3, the 911 Turbo provides a different kind of performance. With 480 horsepower and 457 foot-pounds of torque, it is monster fast, pulling 11.7 in a quarter mile and jumping from 0-30 in 1.1 seconds, but the overall driving experience is more sedate. Perhaps this is the intent, since this car will see more commute time than a GT3 and will more likely be purchased by a wealth management specialist than a race team. It may also be related to the standard all-wheel drive or the adjustable vanes in the turbo that provide peak torque at just 2,000 RPM. These features deliver abundant traction and massive power through the RPM spectrum.
