Fato no qual despertou o interesse do p\u00fablico e da m\u00eddia, trazendo a Stock Car novamente para seus dias de gl\u00f3ria. Herdando o motor 250S de 6 cilindros do Opala, juntamente com um C\u00e2mbio Clark 2505, especial para competi\u00e7\u00f5es, desfrutava de vitais 270cvs. O conjunto como um todo, sendo mais moderno, com suspens\u00e3o traseira independente, trouxe aos pilotos e equipes, o desafio do desenvolvimento e renova\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n
With the recent arrival of the Omega on the national market, in 1994 General Motors do Brasil, sponsor of the main category of Brazilian motorsport, decided to retire the aged Opala, and adapted the Omega for the tracks. Fact which aroused the interest of the public and the media, bringing Stock Car back to its glory days. Inheriting the 250S 6-cylinder engine from the Opala, along with a special competition Clark 2505 Transmission, it enjoyed a vital 270hp.
