Saab FJ was built in 1960 and competed in Formula Junior series until 1961. It featured Saabs famous 3-cylinder 2-stroke engine, tuned to 95hp. Together with aerodynamic design it allowed Saab FJ to have one of the highest top speeds among the competitors. However, 70-30 weight distribution together with front-wheel drive caused severe understeer, which turned out to be significant limitation to its cornering ability. The car was retired in 1961.<\/p>\n
