Built on the exceptional carbon MonoCell II monocoque \u2018tub\u2019, this track focused convertible supercar is incredibly strong. But it is also light\u2026 extraordinarily light. In the pursuit of shaving weight off the car our engineers left no nut or bolt unturned. They found weight savings right across the car. From the wheels to the seats. And from the Lightweight Alcantara\u00ae used to cover many of the surfaces to the touchscreen infotainment system that removes the need for heavier switches. We even removed the carpets and door pockets.The result \u2013 put quite simply \u2013 is the lightest car in its class.
\nThe McLaren 600LT Spider shares the same pumped-up 3.8 litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine as the 600LT. Which means its power is boosted with an extra 30PS and 20Nm of torque. It also comes with the same super-fast Inertia Push gearshifts. The same Active Dynamics for pin-sharp handling. Not to mention the same powerful, responsive braking system \u2013 which you\u2019ll also find in the McLaren 720S. The result?
