A revered classic, the Renault 5 Turbo was unlike anything else that had been attempted by a car manufacturer before. Having become a strong force in the motorsport world by the late-1970s, the Renault 5 Turbo which launched in 1980, received a mid-mounted 4-cylinder, 160bhp engine with rear-wheel drive. With only two seats, the 5 Turbo had a strong and imposing stance, lightweight bodywork and race-style suspension.
