Released in 2017, the Swift Sport is the high-end performance model of the 4th generation Suzuki Swift, originally released in 2016.
The body has been redesigned for aerodynamic performance, in particular the nose is slightly lower than the standard swift. The engine has also been downsized from the naturally aspirated 1.6L unit featured in previous models to a 1.4L turbo configuration. Though this engine had previously been seen on other Suzuki models, it was retuned for sports performance allowing it to produce 138 BHP and 230Nm (23.45 kgfm) on high-octane petrol.
Another difference from previous Swift Sport models is the suspension setup which is not only tuned specifically for this model but also increases the front and rear track width by 30 mm to improve handling. In addition, the body is lighter and more rigid than the equivalent base Swift, while also being 70kg lighter than the previous Swift Sport model.
