This is an original model tuned by "Gran Turismo", based on the Volkswagen Golf IV GTI (2001).

The direction of growth taken by the VW Golf became more apparent in the 4th generation model that appeared in 1998. The Golf IV not only increased in body size, but it stood out among others in quality. The quality and precision of the 4th generation Gold was so high that there were those who called it "equal to a premium car".

For the GTI model of this 4th generation Gold, there were 2 types of engines made available according to the destination. The GTI imported to Japan was 1.8L DOHC, 20-valve inline 4 cylinder turbo, producing 148 BHP/5700 rpm. As you can tell from the rpm range of the maximum torque, the engine boaster flat torque, rather than peak power. In their home country, there was also a GTI with the traditional normally aspirated engine. This produced 123 BHP from the same 1.8L engine.
