Mercedes-Benz has produced some memorable high-spec rear-wheel drive sedans in its long history. The C Class are the most compact of these. But don't let their size deceive you, because they deliver good power and world-class handling. This particular iteration is the 2015 AMG C63 S, which is the top-of-the-line model that packs more than 493.1 HP. AMG, a subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz, focuses on tuning the company's cars, making them world-class sports machines. In particular, AMG is famous for hand-assembling all of its engines. The company follows the philosophy of "one man, one engine" - every engine is the responsibility of a single engineer.

Mercedes-Benz introduced an AMG version of the fourth-generation C-Class a year after the base model as introduced in 2014. And although it wore the same C63 badge as its predecessor, the 2015 AMG C63 featured an all-new powerplant. Gone was the naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V-8, replaced with by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 known as the M177, which used the same basic configuration as the M178 in the AMG GT.
