“A futuristic sedan with a remarkably low drag coefficient of 0.198 Cd, housing dual silicon carbide motors capable of rocketing it from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds.”
The Lynk & Co Z10, the brand’s first all-electric vehicle, officially debuted at a global premiere in Gothenburg, Sweden, in June 2024, with sales commencing in China in September of the same year.
Positioned as a mid-to-large size premium E-Class sedan, it marks Lynk & Co’s significant entry into the pure electric vehicle market, complementing its existing fuel and plug-in hybrid offerings.
The Z10’s design is a direct evolution of Lynk & Co’s “The Next Day” concept car, embodying the “Mega-City Contrast” design philosophy. While retaining a sleek, sporty coupe stance, its styling has been refined for production, featuring distinctive “Dawn Light” daytime running lights, hidden door handles, frameless side windows, and an active, retractable rear wing.
The exterior boasts an ultra-low drag coefficient of just 0.198 Cd, contributing to both efficiency and a futuristic aesthetic. The car measures 5028mm in length, 1966mm in width, and 1468mm in height, with a generous wheelbase of 3005mm.
Built on the Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) platform, which also underpins vehicles from Zeekr, Lotus, and Volvo, the Z10 offers impressive performance.
The top-tier variant features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, producing a formidable 580 kW (789 PS) of power and 810 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h acceleration in a mere 3.5 seconds.
Battery options include 71 kWh and 95 kWh LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) units, with the largest battery providing a CLTC range of up to 806 km. It supports 800V fast charging, allowing for quick replenishment of the battery.
The interior of the Z10 follows a minimalist design language, focusing on technology and comfort. It features a 15.4-inch central touchscreen, a 12.3-inch narrow digital instrument cluster, and a “black diamond” panoramic roof.
Luxury appointments include Nappa leather upholstery, heated, ventilated, and massaging seats for all occupants, a 23-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and a 50W wireless phone charging pad.
For intelligent driving, the Z10 is equipped with an advanced assistance system, including LiDAR and an NVIDIA Orin-X chip, supporting high-speed and urban mapless NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) functionalities. Dual-chamber air suspension with CDC (Continuously Variable Electronic Damping Control) ensures a smooth and adaptable ride.
The Lynk & Co Z10 aims to compete with established luxury sedans like the BMW 5 Series and Audi A6, as well as domestic competitors, offering a blend of cutting-edge technology, striking design, and premium features at a competitive price point, starting from around 186,800 yuan in China (approximately $28,850 USD).
A plug-in hybrid variant, the Lynk & Co 10 EM-P, based on the Z10, is also expected to launch in the second half of 2025.
