The 911 GT3 has always been the 911 model that takes the iconic sports car DNA and dials in the performance factor, maximizing the track and racing potential of the car and making for one of the most desirable driver’s cars in the world. However, for more reasons than you might realize, the 992 generation, the latest iteration of the Porsche 911 GT3, is the best 911 GT3 yet. Keep reading, and we’ll break down everything that makes the 992 911 GT3 one of the world’s best performance cars for the road and the track.
Being built from an entirely new 911, the Porsche 911 992 GT3 specs are indicative of a truly special and unique car that stands out and carries the legacy of the GT3 name to new heights. One of the reasons that the Porsche 911 992 GT3 0-60 is just 3.2 seconds is that the naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine has the ability to produce 502 horsepower, which only tells the beginning of the story when it comes to the GT3’s otherworldly performance on the track and street. In places like the hood and/or roof, carbon fiber is used on the 992 GT3 more than it ever has been before in order to save weight and extract as much dynamism and performance potential as possible out of the car. Along with this, the GT3 comes standard with a wider body than its other 911 counterparts, which in the previous 991 generation was reserved for the GT3 RS. This allows for improved tires, wheels, and brakes, which means that the increased power of the car gets put on the road more efficiently, and is matched with better control on the track and in the corners where it really matters. All of these improvements contribute to the Porsche 911 992 GT3 top speed of 197 mph.
